In 1989, Former Banff high school principal Stan Walker was getting sick of all his buddies hanging out at his house so he and the boys bought the Tatranka lodge and turned it into The Drake.
The Drake has since become a Canmore institution, with every one from construction workers to lawyers gathering together for the legendary Happy Hour Mon - Fri 4-7pm.
It is truly the locals favourite watering hole!
As one of our regular customers put it we are the "CHEERS" of Canmore.
